This is a program that roughly estimates distance based on how long it takes sound to travel from one place to another. You can use this program to figure out how far away you are from lightning or fireworks, for example.
To use the program, tap the button labeled "START" when you see the lightning or fireworks. The label changes to "STOP". When you hear the thunder or report, tap the STOP button.
At the bottom of the screen you will see how many hundredths of a second elapsed from the time the START button was tapped to the time the STOP button was tapped. You will also see how many feet away the program estimates you are from the event.
